….so why didn’t he just come clean when first asked?
Why not as a grown up decide to change…we don’t have to remain the person our parents and schools taught us to be…. truth is he doesn’t actually want to, who would want to give up even one iota of a lifestyle of comfort and privilege unless they had reason to….the most basic and decent reason would be to see that level of privilege as in some way morally corrupt.
That’s the crux of it…he doesn’t…not one bit. Those Tories with land and property, stocks and trusts just can’t make the link between what they are and do to maintain it and the fact that there are people using food banks, people committing suicide, people living in extreme poverty in the same country where Sam Cameron described an £800,000.00 windfall as ‘not life changing’. I don’t know anyone for whom that amount of money wouldn’t be life changing.
I don’t mind that the rich are erm…rich. But I do care greatly when they cling on to remaining so at the cost of others, at the cost of the country as a whole – when they weasel word their way round the truth to try and stop us realising that they just don’t give a flying fuck about anything other than themselves and maintaining the ‘us and them’.
When they are so entrenched in spin and hypocrisy that they just don’t know when is the right time to stop.
